Ayurveda

After surviving cancer, my interest in holistic health was clear. Primarily, I decided to study Ayurveda for my own healing. It was necessary to make some important changes in my lifestyle, especially after cancer. I have been practicing Ayurveda for eight years. I’ve had the opportunity to study with two teachers: Dr. Anita Sharma and Estelle Miousse.

My passion for learning brought me to Kerala, in India, where I pursued my studies.
Ayurveda is timeless and is the mother of all natural medicines. Chinese and Greek medical systems have their roots in Ayurveda. “Ayur” means “life” and “Veda” means “knowledge”. Ayurveda is a full medical system recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). This 5000 year old medicine originates from India and is now practiced by a third of the world’s population.

By nature, human beings seek balance, which is always changing, according to our lifestyle and our environment. The purpose of Ayurveda is to bring balance on both physical and emotional levels.

A consultation will give you solutions to regain balance and prevent the evolution of symptoms into diseases. The tools and recommendations offered by the practitioner will help you have a healthier approach to your lifestyle. You will notice that small changes have a tremendous impact on your long-term health and well-being.

Ayurveda is a natural and gentle approach to health. The practitioner first determines the root of the imbalance and then recommends personalized adjustments accordingly. These recommendations include some changes to follow daily in nutrition, stress management, yoga postures, meditation, chakra balancing, etc…

Ayurveda treats all kinds of health issues and problems:

• Anxiety • Insomnia •  Depression • Digestion • Elimination • Arthritis • Memory • Menopause

Ayurveda can also provide great support to cancer patients during their treatments.
